At daybreak, you may see animals grazing in the magnificent light of the morning, and predators may still be hunting before retiring for the day. Sunrise on the Serengeti is a must-see, and there will be plenty of photographic possibilities. You can either return to your accommodation for a hot lunch or take your lunch to enjoy at one of the Serengeti's many picnic areas. Following lunch, you will proceed on a game drive. Look for lions around dusk.
Cheetahs can also be seen on the plains in the early morning and late afternoon when temperatures are not too hot. They rely on daylight and quickness to capture their prey. Hippo pods can be spotted in the larger pools and rivers, while crocodiles can be found sunning themselves on the riverbanks.
