Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Your 9-day Kilimanjaro hiking safari begins with your arrival in Tanzania. You will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your accommodation in Moshi, the gateway to Kilimanjaro. Take this time to rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
After a hearty breakfast, you will be driven to the Machame Gate, where your trekking adventure officially begins. The trail winds through lush rainforest, offering glimpses of exotic wildlife and a variety of bird species. Your first campsite, Machame Camp, is nestled amidst the trees, providing a serene setting for your first night on the mountain.

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
As you ascend further, the landscape transitions from rainforest to moorland. The trail offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and peaks. You will spend the night at Shira Camp, located at an elevation of approximately 3,840 meters.

Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp
Today's trek takes you through high alpine desert, where the terrain becomes more rugged and otherworldly. You will make your way to Barranco Camp, situated in a picturesque valley beneath the imposing Barranco Wall. This is a crucial acclimatization day, allowing your body to adjust to the increasing altitude.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
The trail leads you up the Barranco Wall, a thrilling scramble that rewards you with breathtaking views from the top. From here, you will continue to Karanga Camp, perched on a rocky ridge with stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape.

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Your journey to Barafu Camp takes you through rugged terrain and rocky slopes as you steadily gain altitude. Barafu Camp, located at an elevation of approximately 4,600 meters, serves as the base for your final push to the summit.

Day 7: Summit Day - Uhuru Peak
In the early hours of the morning, you will begin your ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro at 5,895 meters. The trail is steep and challenging, but as you climb higher, you are rewarded with awe-inspiring views of the surrounding glaciers and the vast expanse of the African plains below. Upon reaching the summit, take a moment to savor this incredible achievement before beginning your descent to Mweka Camp.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
The final leg of your journey leads you through lush forest as you make your way down to Mweka Gate. Here, you will receive a certificate commemorating your successful summit of Kilimanjaro before being transferred back to your accommodation in Moshi.

As your 9-day Kilimanjaro hiking safari comes to an end, take some time to reflect on the incredible experiences and memories you have gathered along the way. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure from Tanzania.
