Your seven-day Kilimanjaro Mountain climbing expedition safari The Tanzania journey follows the Rongai Route, the only track that begins on the northern slope of Mt Kilimanjaro. Though this section of the mountain is infrequently visited by hikers, it is no less interesting than the famed southern and western slopes. We propose Rongai if you are interested in a private Kilimanjaro Mountain climbing experience. As you reach the stunning snow-capped summit cone, you pass through farmlands, Afromontane forests, moorlands, and an alpine desert. This path allows for acclimatization before the difficult final ascent. The last ascent to the “Roof of Africa” begins in darkness, but the reward is an unparalleled sunrise view over the wide East African plains. Please keep in mind that while a 6-day Tanzania walk is doable over this route, we encourage lengthier options for greater acclimatization.

Day 1: Hike from Nalemuru Gate to Simba Camp
On Day 1 of your 7-day Mountain Kilimanjaro climbing adventure, you will begin your journey to the 'top of Africa'. Your guide and a mountain support crew will arrive at your Arusha hotel in the morning to meet you.
After a briefing, you will be driven for approximately 2 ½ hours to the northern gate of Kilimanjaro National Park, Nalemuru Gate (2,020 m). Here, the head guide will obtain the necessary permissions and complete the search and rescue registration
.
This moderate climb through the coniferous forest of Kilimanjaro's northern slope to Simba Camp will take you up to 2,625 m. Remember not to rush and keep a relaxed pace. By the time you arrive at camp, our skilled mountain crew will have set your tents and begun supper preparations.
For your first day at this altitude, avoid alcohol and caffeine and consume at least 4 litres of bottled water daily, in tiny doses.
You may have discomfort throughout the night as a result of high-altitude acclimatization: your body receives less oxygen than during the day due to a drop in your waking breathing pattern. Taking altitude into account, you may begin to feel unwell and have a headache. Pay attention to your own body and notify your guide if you get any symptoms of altitude sickness.
- Accommodation: - Simba Camp Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.
- Altitude gains of 605m and hiking distance of 8km.
- Hiking duration is 3-4 hours.
The difficulty is low, and the habitat is rainforest.

Day 2: Simba Camp to Second Cave Camp
On the second day of your 7-day Kilimanjaro Mountain climbing trip on Tanzania safari vacation, have an early breakfast at Simba Camp (2,625m). After breakfast, begin a steady hike to your second high-altitude camp, Second Cave Camp (3,480m).
This trek is relatively straightforward and will take around 3 hours to complete, so you'll have plenty of time to rest and enjoy the surroundings when you arrive at the camp.
After lunch, take some time to relax before beginning a 100-meter acclimatization hike to Kikilewa Camp (3,630m). You then descend to Second Cave Camp for some leisure, food, and sleep.
Please take note:
One of the most effective strategies to acclimate to higher altitudes is to "hike high and sleep low," which comprises going to a point above your camp and then returning to camp to rest. Acclimatization improves your chances of successfully climbing Kilimanjaro and protects you from altitude sickness.

- Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
- Altitude: Climb 955m and descend 100m
- Hiking Distance: 6.5 kilometers.

You will take a short break there to witness the beautiful sunrise above Mawenzi. Those still feeling strong can complete the three-hour round trip over the snow-covered rim to the genuine top of Uhuru Peak (5,895m), passing close to the stunning glaciers and Ice cliffs still constitute the majority of the top area.
